This course will cover the following modules, and will introduce new users to generic business software. The course will enable users to gain the proficiency to work with general business software. Although indicated as different modules, the modules in totality form the Introduction to Personal Computing course:
Module 1 - Computer Fundamentals:
This module is an elementary module that will acquaint users with common computer terminology. The user will gain an understanding of the elements of a computer system, as well as knowledge of its business functionality.
Module 2 - Microsoft Windows:
This module will equip users with the confidence to navigate the Windows operating system environment. Users will be skilled with the techniques on folder creation, and will gain insight into Windows fundamentals.
Module 3 - Microsoft Word:
This module will equip users with the essential skills to gain proficiency with a word processor. These skills will include document creation, formatting, editing and revision.
Module 4 - Microsoft Excel:
This module will equip users with skills to create spreadsheet formulas and functions efficiently. Users will understand the fundamentals of spreadsheet functionality.
Module 5 - Microsoft Powerpoint:
Learn how to create your own presentation, design your own templates, create slide shows, and captivate an audience with graphics.
Module 6 - Internet and Email:
Understand how to retrieve websites and use search engines with ease, and become proficient with the use of email software.
